The Area
To reach Craobh Haven Marina, the nearest major international airport is Glasgow Airport (GLA), which is approximately a 2 to 2.5 hour drive away. From the airport, renting a car is the most practical option due to the marina's scenic but somewhat remote location. The drive through Argyll & Bute is very picturesque. Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is another option, though it involves a longer drive.
Getting There
The main sailing season on the west coast of Scotland, including Craobh Haven, typically runs from May to September. During these months, you'll generally experience longer daylight hours and the best chance of milder weather and more settled sea conditions, which are ideal for exploring the beautiful and varied cruising grounds while you learn.
