How to get there

To reach Airlie Beach and Coral Sea Marina, the most convenient airport is Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) located in Proserpine, which is about a 30-40 minute shuttle or taxi ride away. Another option is Hamilton Island Airport (HTI), which involves a scenic ferry transfer across to Airlie Beach. Both airports have connections from major Australian cities.

Best time to go

The best time for sailing in the Whitsundays is generally from May to October. This period falls within the dry season, offering plenty of sunshine, pleasant temperatures, and steady southeast trade winds, which provide excellent and reliable conditions for sailing courses and exploring the islands.
