About the school
Come join us at Sailing Pro Italy, where we enjoy sharing our passion for sailing from the beautiful island of Procida. It’s a wonderful place to learn the ropes, with clear waters and a welcoming atmosphere for RYA courses like Competent Crew or Day Skipper. We look forward to helping you build your skills and explore the Italian coast.
The location
The island of Procida offers a truly charming environment to learn sailing, with its picturesque harbors and access to the Bay of Naples. The local conditions are generally well suited for instruction, allowing students to gain confidence while experiencing classic Italian coastal scenery.
How to get there
To reach Procida, international travellers will typically fly into Naples International Airport (NAP). From the airport, you would take a taxi or bus to the port of Naples (Molo Beverello or Porta di Massa). From there, regular ferries and hydrofoils make the short journey across to the island of Procida.
Best time to go
The prime sailing season around Procida and the Bay of Naples generally runs from May to September. During these months, you can expect warm, sunny weather, pleasant sea temperatures, and reliable afternoon breezes, which create ideal conditions for learning to sail and exploring the beautiful coastline and nearby islands like Ischia and Capri.
