Located on the northern part of Chongming Island in the Yangtze River Estuary, our marina offers ideal conditions for learning to sail. The waters are clean, with consistent and stable winds throughout most of the year, providing a reliable environment for both beginners and experienced sailors. Our facilities are equipped with a variety of sailing boats, including Fareast 18R and Beneteau 45-foot yachts, enabling us to deliver comprehensive ASA courses on-site. The tranquil setting and steady breezes make it an excellent place for students to build confidence and develop their sailing skills.
To reach King Leader Marina, travelers arriving by air can fly into Shanghai Pudong International Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, both well-connected via international and domestic flights. From either airport, you can take a taxi or ride-hailing service directly to the marina, located in the northern part of Chongming Island. If you prefer public transportation, it’s recommended to first take a train or high-speed rail to Chongming Island or nearby stations, followed by a taxi or ride-hailing service to the marina. For convenience, renting a car is also a good option, offering flexibility to explore the scenic surroundings of the Yangtze River Estuary. Once on Chongming Island, follow local signs or navigation apps to reach the marina, which is situated in a peaceful, water-rich area ideal for sailing adventures.
The best time to sail in this area is from late spring to early autumn, typically between May and October, when the weather is mild and the winds are steady, making for enjoyable sailing conditions.
