About the school
The best time to sail in Beirut is from May to October, when the Mediterranean waters are calm, the winds are favorable, and the weather is warm. These conditions make it ideal for exploring Lebanon’s stunning coastline by sea.
The location
From our base in Beirut, Atlantis Sailing School provides RYA-accredited courses designed for everyone from newcomers to more experienced sailors. You can join us for Competent Crew or Day Skipper programs and benefit from hands-on instruction against the beautiful backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea. We enjoy sharing our passion for sailing and helping you develop your skills on the water.
How to get there
Beirut’s position on the Mediterranean coast provides a wonderful environment for learning to sail, offering generally clear waters and access to an engaging coastline. The conditions here allow students to experience real sea sailing while developing their abilities in a setting that is both historic and lively.
Best time to go
To reach our school in the Achrafieh area of Beirut, international visitors should fly into Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY). This is Lebanon's main airport and is conveniently situated only about 9 km from Achrafieh. Taxis and ride-hailing services are readily available at the airport for the short journey to our location.
