About the school
The prime sailing window around Split runs from late spring to early autumn, when the steady afternoon Maestral delivers reliable breezes and the Adriatic is warm; seasoned crews often pick May–June or September to enjoy those ideal conditions without the peak-season crowds.
The location
Welcome to Agana Sailing School, part of the Sunsail family, where you can learn to master the Adriatic with our professional skippers. Our RYA courses operate from the scenic harbour village of Marina Agana from April to November. It’s a wonderful place to develop your sailing skills in a beautiful and historic setting.
How to get there
Marina Agana provides a charming and well-equipped starting point for learning to sail, nestled in an idyllic harbour village. The waters of the Adriatic here offer excellent conditions for instruction, with beautiful islands and coastlines to explore as you build your confidence and skills.
Best time to go
Our base in Marina Agana is about a 25 minute drive from Split Airport (SPU), also known as Resnik. Taxis or pre-booked transfers are common ways to make this journey. If you choose to rent a car, parking is available at Marina Agana for a fee.
