About the school

At Prosailing Malta, our chief instructor Rob brings decades of experience and tens of thousands of sea miles to every course. His approach is all about helping students build real confidence on the water, keeping things hands-on, practical, and enjoyable from day one. Marie Claire, our course manager, makes sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly—from your first inquiry to your final certification. She’s focused on making the experience easy and enjoyable, so you can make the most of your time learning to sail in Malta.

The location

Our location in Gżira gives you quick access to open water, which makes it ideal for learning how to handle real conditions from the start. Malta’s coastline is mostly exposed, so you’ll get solid experience with wind, swell, and boat handling in a way that builds real skill.

How to get there

Fly into Malta International Airport, which is the main airport on the island. From there, it’s about a 20-minute drive to our base in Gżira. You can grab a taxi at the airport or book a ride ahead of time if you prefer. Once you're in Gżira, we’re located just off the main waterfront road. Look for Triq Sir William Reid, and you'll find us near the marina area. It’s a walkable neighborhood with plenty of nearby spots to grab a coffee or bite before or after your session.

Best time to go

The best time to sail in Malta is from late April through early June. You’ll get steady winds, mild temperatures in the low to mid 20s Celsius, and fewer crowds both on the water and on land. July and August are hotter and busier, but still good if you’re comfortable with stronger sun and more activity around the island.
