Here at Sailing Life Academy in Marmaris, we offer RYA courses for everyone wanting to get out on the water, from Competent Crew to Day Skipper. Our base at Setur Netsel Marina is perfectly positioned for you to learn and explore Turkey's beautiful Mediterranean coast. We focus on practical, hands on training in a friendly atmosphere.
The location
Marmaris, with its well protected Setur Netsel Marina, offers a secure environment for those new to sailing, allowing for comfortable initial instruction. The nearby coastline presents numerous bays and islands, providing excellent opportunities to practice navigation and boat handling in wonderfully clear waters.
How to get there
If you are flying in to join us, Dalaman International Airport (DLM) is the most convenient airport, situated about 95 km from Setur Netsel Marina in Marmaris. From the airport, you can take a pre-booked transfer, a taxi, or rent a car for the journey. The drive offers some lovely views as you approach the coast.
Best time to go
The sailing season in Marmaris is generally best from May through October. During these months, you'll find the Mediterranean offers calm seas, dependable breezes, and plenty of warm sunshine, creating very pleasant conditions for learning and exploring the Turkish coastline.
