Getting There

When traveling to Puget Sound Sailing Institute, the most convenient option is to fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), a major hub offering numerous domestic and international flights. From the airport, you can rent a car or request a ride-hailing service such as Uber or Lyft for a scenic 15-20 minute drive south to our location on Marine View Drive in Tacoma. If you prefer train travel, Amtrak’s rail service connects Seattle and Tacoma, making it easy to reach us by train and then take a short taxi or ride-share to our school. Once in Tacoma, follow local signage to Marine View Drive, where our facilities are easily accessible and well-marked.

Best Time to Go

The best time to sail in Tacoma is from late spring through early fall, with warm, mild weather and generally calm waters making for enjoyable days on the water. Early mornings and late afternoons tend to offer the most comfortable conditions for sailing.
