Just a short distance from the airport, our classes run from morning to afternoon, giving you ample time to develop your sailing abilities and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Key West afterward.
Getting There
To reach Southern Sailing School in Key West, start by booking a flight to Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), both major gateways to South Florida. From there, you can rent a car or arrange a private transfer for the approximately 160-mile drive south to Key West, which takes around 3 to 4 hours. If you prefer not to drive, consider booking a scenic shuttle service or a one-way rental car to enjoy the flexibility of exploring along the way. Upon arriving in Key West, head to Sunset Marina located at 5555 College Road. Our school is situated within the marina complex, so look for signage directing you to the main docks, and feel free to call ahead if you need detailed directions or assistance upon arrival.
