Upon arriving in the Fort Myers area, the most convenient major airport is Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), which offers numerous domestic flights. From the airport, you can rent a car, take a ride-hailing service like Uber or Lyft, or arrange for a private transfer to Port of Call Charters School located at 13601 McGregor Blvd Suite 17 in Fort Myers. The drive typically takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. If you prefer to arrive by train, Amtrak services the nearby cities, but you'll still need to arrange for ground transportation to the school. Once in Fort Myers, follow local signs to McGregor Boulevard; the school is situated within the Port of Call Marina area. You’ll sail on either a 40-foot monohull or catamaran, logging serious hours on the water each day. The boats are docked on the Intracoastal Waterway, allowing students to sail directly from the dock and experience a variety of challenging currents and pristine waters. With favorable winds throughout the year, the school offers a mix of conditions ideal for building sailing skills. They provide competitive combo courses, standard ASA classes, as well as bareboat and captained charters, and private lessons. The school has earned recognition as an ASA Outstanding School four times, and several of their instructors have been honored as ASA Outstanding Instructors.
