Once you arrive in Key West, the most convenient way to reach Florida Yachts Charters is to fly into Key West International Airport (EYW), which offers numerous connections from major hubs. From the airport, you can rent a car or arrange a ride-hailing service like Uber or Lyft for a quick 10-minute drive to our location at 6003 Peninsular Ave #1. If you’re arriving via a cruise or other major transportation, the port is also nearby, and taxis or ride-shares are readily available. For travelers coming from mainland Florida, driving down the Overseas Highway (U.S. Highway 1) is a scenic option, and there are ample parking options close to our school. Once here, we’re easy to find, and our friendly staff will be happy to assist you in beginning your sailing adventure.
The best time to sail in Key West is during the winter months from December through April when the weather is warm, dry, and pleasantly breezy, making for ideal sailing conditions without the intense heat of summer. This period offers calm seas and comfortable temperatures, perfect for both beginners and experienced sailors to enjoy the waters.
