Getting There
Fly into Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), the nearest major airport offering convenient domestic and limited international flights. From the airport, you can rent a car or arrange for a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft for a quick 15-minute drive to our location at 2001 Whitfield Park Ave in Sarasota. If you prefer to arrive by train, Amtrak services the nearby Tampa station; from there, you can rent a car or book a ride-hailing service to reach Sarasota, approximately a 1.5-hour drive. Once in Sarasota, our facility is easily accessible by car and is situated in a family-friendly area close to major attractions and beaches. We recommend renting a vehicle for flexibility and convenience during your stay, but rideshare services are also readily available to get you comfortably to our school from any transportation hub.
Best Time to Go
The best time to sail in Sarasota is from late fall through early spring, when the weather is warm and the winds are steady, making for enjoyable days on the water. Winters tend to be mild and comfortable, providing ideal conditions for both beginners and experienced sailors.
