The Area

Located in Marina del Rey, our sailing school offers convenient access to the calm waters and scenic views of the Los Angeles coastline. The school's vessels are berthed at the Marina City Club, providing a secure and accessible starting point for all training sessions. Whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your skills, our instructors are ready to guide you through hands-on experience in a relaxed setting, helping you build confidence and competence on the water.

Getting There

Upon arriving in Los Angeles, you can reach California Sailing Cooperative conveniently from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is approximately a 20-30 minute drive away. After collecting your rental car or ordering a ride-hailing service such as Uber or Lyft, head west on Century Boulevard toward the 405 Freeway. Take the 405 North and exit at Culver Boulevard, then follow signs for Marina del Rey. Continue on Culver Boulevard south until you reach Admiralty Way. Turn onto Admiralty Way, and the Marina City Club, where the Mystic is berthed, will be on your right. Parking is security-guarded and free for members and guests. If you're arriving by train, Amtrak services the Los Angeles area, with connections to local transit options; however, a taxi or ride-share from the train station to the marina is recommended for convenience. For international travelers, the most straightforward approach is to fly into LAX and then use a ride-hailing service or rental car to reach the sailing school.
