Just outside the break wall in Santa Monica Bay, you'll find open water with larger waves and more dynamic conditions, providing excellent opportunities for advanced training and experiential learning. This combination allows students to progress from calm, controlled settings to more challenging open water, all within a short distance. Our location makes it easy to get on the water regularly and immerse yourself in the sailing lifestyle.

Getting There

Bluewater Sailing is conveniently located in Marina del Rey, California, just a short drive from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Upon arriving at LAX, you can rent a car or use ride-hailing services like Uber or Lyft for a straightforward 20-30 minute trip to our school. If you prefer, you can also arrange for a private shuttle or taxi directly to our marina. For those traveling by train, Amtrak offers service to Los Angeles Union Station, where you can rent a car or catch a ride-share to Marina del Rey. Once in the area, follow signs to Marina del Rey and head towards 13505 Bali Way, where our facilities are located. The area is easily accessible, and parking is available nearby for those driving themselves.
