At Global Sailing Academy Turkey, we're pleased to offer RYA training from the tranquil setting of Karacasöğüt Bay, close to Marmaris. We provide a full range of courses, including Competent Crew and Day Skipper, focusing on a hands on approach to learning. The location
Karacasöğüt Bay offers a particularly peaceful environment for those starting their sailing education, with its calm waters and sheltered nature providing an ideal learning ground. The proximity to numerous coves and islands also allows students to gain practical experience in a beautiful and manageable cruising area.
How to get there
To reach our base in Karacasöğüt Bay, the most convenient international airport is Dalaman (DLM), which is about 105 km away. From Dalaman Airport, you can arrange a private transfer, take a taxi, or rent a car for the journey to the Marmaris area and then on to Karacasöğüt.
Best time to go
We find that sailing conditions in Karacasöğüt Bay are optimal from May to October. This period offers the classic Mediterranean experience with calm seas, reliably steady breezes, and warm, sunny weather, all of which are perfect for learning and enjoying the water.
