About
The Qingdao Sunac Yacht Club is situated along the scenic West Coast of Qingdao, in China's Shandong Province. The clubhouse covers an area of 1.48 hectares and features European-inspired architecture and gardens. Its marina spans over 20 hectares and is equipped with 230 berths of various sizes, built with environmentally friendly concrete dock systems. Located at the heart of Qingdao’s sailing scene, often called China’s Sailing Capital, the club offers high-quality services and security facilities, and has received recognition as a five Gold Anchor Marina. The school’s experienced instructors, each with over 20 years of sailing and teaching expertise, provide courses on a variety of vessels such as Optimist dinghies, J/Boats, catamarans, super yachts, and motorboats, combining skill-building with enjoyment.

The Area
Located on Qingdao’s West Coast in the scenic Xinghai Bay area, our sailing school offers access to a well-equipped marina with a water area of over 20 hectares and 230 berths. The calm, protected waters and modern facilities provide an ideal setting for both beginners and experienced sailors to learn and practice their skills. With a team of instructors boasting more than 20 years of sailing and teaching experience, students can expect comprehensive courses that cover a range of vessels including Optimist dinghies, J/Boats, catamarans, and motorboats. Whether you're new to sailing or looking to refine your techniques, the location offers a safe and professional environment to enjoy the water and develop your sailing abilities.
Getting There
To reach Sunac Yacht Club, travelers arriving by air can fly into Qingdao Liuting International Airport, which is approximately a 50-minute drive away. From the airport, you can rent a car or arrange a ride-hailing service to the club located at No. 988 Xinghai Bay Road on the West Coast of Qingdao. If you prefer train travel, Qingdao Railway Station is well-connected to major Chinese cities; from there, you can take a taxi or ride-hailing service directly to the yacht club, which is situated along Xinghai Bay Road. Once in Qingdao, using ride-hailing apps or a rental car will offer the most convenient way to reach the club and enjoy your sailing experience.
Best Time to Go
The best time to sail in Qingdao’s West Coast area is from late spring through early autumn, with July and August offering warm temperatures and steady conditions. During this period, the weather is generally mild and conducive to sailing adventures along China’s coastline.
