Here at Canary Sail in Tenerife, we provide RYA courses like Competent Crew and Day Skipper from our base in Puerto San Miguel. We cater to everyone, whether you are new to sailing or have some experience. Our aim is to offer expert instruction combined with the chance to enjoy sailing in the beautiful Atlantic waters surrounding Tenerife's coastline.

The Area
Puerto San Miguel offers a more tranquil harbor setting on Tenerife's coast, which can be very conducive to learning, especially when getting to grips with the basics in calmer waters. Its easy access to the broader Atlantic means students can quickly progress to experience a variety of conditions ideal for building confidence and skill.
Getting There
For reaching Puerto San Miguel, Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is your best option, situated about 15 km from this part of the coast, and similarly convenient for Puerto San Miguel as it is for Las Galletas. Car hire and taxis are available at TFS. Tenerife North Airport (TFN) is an alternative but is a more distant 75 km drive.
Best Time to Go
The period from October to April generally offers the most favorable sailing conditions in Tenerife. You will find steady trade winds and comfortably mild Atlantic waters, which are just what you need for effective learning and enjoyable sailing around the islands.
