The location
Marina di Pisa offers a great starting point for learning to sail, with direct access to the Ligurian Sea and the waters of the Tuscan Archipelago. The area provides a good mix of coastal sailing experiences, ideal for developing practical skills in a scenic Italian setting.
How to get there
The most convenient international airport to reach us in Marina di Pisa is Pisa International Airport (PSA), also known as Galileo Galilei Airport. It is located very close to Pisa city and only a short drive (around 15-20 minutes) from Marina di Pisa. Taxis and car rentals are readily available at the airport. Florence Airport (FLR) is another option, though it's about an hour's drive away.
Best time to go
The sailing season along the Tuscan coast, including Marina di Pisa, is generally best from May to September. During these months, you can expect warm weather, predominantly gentle to moderate breezes, and pleasant sea conditions, all of which are conducive to enjoyable and effective sail training.
