Getting There

The sailing season in the Norfolk area and the southern Chesapeake Bay is generally best from late spring through early fall, typically May to October. During these months, you'll experience warmer temperatures, more predictable winds, and generally favorable conditions for sailing instruction and exploring the Bay.
