About
Since 1993, Liberty Sailing School of Philadelphia has been introducing people to the joys of sailing. Located along the historic Delaware River waterfront in Center City, the school offers courses that emphasize hands-on experience with plenty of time on the water. Their boats are based at the Philadelphia Marine Center near the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, with classrooms just a block away at the Liberty Sailing Club facility. The school’s team of US Coast Guard Licensed Captains and American Sailing Association certified instructors are dedicated to ensuring students have a rewarding and enjoyable learning experience. Owned by Captain Steven E. Mink, a seasoned sailor with over 40 years of offshore sailing experience, the school provides a range of courses from beginner to advanced, including specialized programs like Caribbean ASA 104/114 and coastal navigation courses.
