To reach Sail Solomons, start by flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) or Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), both approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Solomons, MD. From the airport, you can rent a car or arrange for a ride-hailing service such as Uber or Lyft to take you directly to our location at 245 C Street, PO Box 441, Solomons. If you're arriving by train, Amtrak services the nearby stations, and you can connect via rental car or taxi to reach Solomons. Once in town, follow local signs or GPS to our marina in the Solomons area, where we are conveniently located at Zahnisers Yachting Center. The best time to sail in Solomons is from late spring through early fall, with warm temperatures and generally steady breezes that make for enjoyable days on the water. July and August tend to offer the most consistent conditions, perfect for both learning and leisure sailing.
