To reach KYSC at the Boat House in Waleska, Georgia, start by flying into Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, a major hub with numerous domestic and international flights. From the airport, you can rent a car or arrange for a ride-hailing service like Uber or Lyft. The drive to Waleska takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes via I-75 North, then take Exit 20 onto GA-140 West. Follow GA-140 for about 12 miles until you reach Lake Arrowhead Drive; turn onto Lake Arrowhead Drive and continue to the KYSC Boat House located at 2015 Lake Arrowhead Drive. If renting a vehicle, this route offers the most direct and convenient access to the school’s location.
The best time to sail here is during late spring through early fall, with warm days and steady breezes making for enjoyable conditions on the mountain lake. Early mornings and late afternoons tend to be the most peaceful, especially on weekdays.
