Arriving at Taiwan's main international gateway, Taoyuan International Airport, you'll find convenient options to reach Kaohsiung City. From the airport, you can take a high-speed train (THSR) directly to Kaohsiung Zuoying Station, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Alternatively, you can rent a car or use ride-hailing services like Uber or local taxi apps for a more direct journey, which typically takes around 4 to 4.5 hours depending on traffic. Once in Kaohsiung, follow signs to the Xingda Harbor area; our sailing school is just a short 10-minute drive from the major motorway interchange and about 15 minutes from the high-speed rail station, making it easy to access from all parts of the city.
The best time to sail in Kaohsiung is from late autumn to early spring, typically between November and March, when the weather is mild and the sea conditions are calm. During these months, you can enjoy smooth sailing with comfortable temperatures and less humidity.

During the off-season from November to March, students focus on mileage building by sailing along Taiwan’s east coast, around the south of the island, and to Tainan. The school aims to help students build a pleasant, meaningful, and confident sailing lifestyle by offering comprehensive training courses that cover sailing knowledge and skills, enabling safe and independent sailing. They use American Sailing Association materials and certification systems, including the ASA 104 Bareboat Cruising certification, which grants an international proficiency certificate allowing students to charter boats in Europe and the Mediterranean. The school also supports students in organizing practical bareboat chartering trips abroad to gain real-world sailing experience.
