The Area

The warm, steady trade winds and consistent breezes create a comfortable environment for both beginners and experienced sailors. From our base, students have easy access to the surrounding islands, including the Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands, allowing for diverse sailing experiences and island hopping adventures. Our small class sizes and experienced instructors ensure personalized guidance as you gain confidence and skills on the water.

Getting There

From major international airports, the most convenient option is to fly into Cyril E. King Airport (STT) in nearby St. Thomas. Once you arrive, you can rent a car or arrange a taxi or ride-hailing service to Smith Bay Road, where the school is located. The drive takes approximately 20-30 minutes and offers scenic views of the island. If you’re coming from the U.S. mainland or other international destinations, most major airlines offer direct or connecting flights to STT. After arriving, follow signs to Smith Bay Road; the school is easily accessible by car. We recommend arranging transportation in advance to ensure a smooth transfer to the school location.

Best Time to Go

The best time to sail in the Virgin Islands is from December through April, when the weather is warm and the seas are calm. This period offers ideal conditions for exploring the islands and enjoying smooth sailing adventures.
